Stickers & Labeling

Adding stickers to your worm bags is a great way to promote your brand and keep track of exactly what is in the bags. Here are the two main ways for you to get labels for your bags.

Purchase Labels

Purchasing stickers is a great way to quickly get a large number of great-looking labels for your laminated worm bags. It's fast, easy, and they will look great. There are a few downsides, though. First, they can be expensive. Your actual cost will depend on size, shape, and cut options. Second, they will all be the same. If you need different sizes or designs, you will need to order those as well. The cost can add up quickly, especially when you consider all the possible label options for your bait bags.  For this reason, purchasing custom printed stickers is great for your business name/logo, but not for all the detailed info that can be different on each bag. (bait name, color, quantity, UPC...)

Here are some tips for ordering stickers. Glossy vinyl stickers that are water-resistant are typically what you want for your laminated worm bags.  Choose your size carefully to ensure it will look good on all the different sizes of bags you use.  It doesn't matter if the stickers are die-cut or on sheets; either will work.  Take your time to get the design right, make sure there are no mistakes, and that you like it.  You will be stuck with what you order.  Maybe order a small quantity at first, just to test.  Once you know you like it, order a larger quantity to save money.  It might also be a good idea to hire a professional logo designer.

Print Labels

Printing your own stickers at home is a fantastic way to get labels for your bags. There are many different methods to print stickers, and they all have their benefits. The biggest benefit is that you may already have what you need to print stickers right now.  Here are some of the methods we have used:

Printable Sticker Paper

You can purchase vinyl sticker paper and print on it from your Inkjet or LaserJet printer.  You can cut out the sticker with scissors, or you can use a Cricut machine if you need to cut complex shapes.  This is essentially the same process that the professionals use, except they use larger and more expensive machines.  The result is the same, though.

You can also use Avery label paper, but they are paper labels that soak up water and oil.  We recommend vinyl labels over the Avery paper labels.

Brother P-Touch Label Makers

P-Touch labels are great because they are so easy to use.  They don't print graphics, but they are perfect for making labels for your bat name, color, and quantity.  They come in many different color combinations, including white labels with black lettering, and black labels with white lettering (my personal favorite).  They also stick very well, don't smudge, and are water and oil-resistant.

Dymo Label Printers

Dymo label printers (and other thermal printers) are great because they are fast, easy to use, and don't use ink.  They can print low-resolution images, but only in black and white.  Another issue is that their labels are not waterproof.  That's not a deal breaker, but something to remember.  These printers are best for putting UPCs on your bags.
