Custom Bag Orders

Unfortunately, we do not take custom bag orders at this time. We understand that most bait makers want custom bags, but very few are willing to pay the high cost. Therefore, it is not economically feasible for us to offer this service at this time.

These are the primary reasons why ordering custom bags can be difficult:

  1. Large minimum order quantities.
  2. Expensive setup & shipping charges.
  3. Technical skills required for artwork.
  4. Communicating with Chinese manufacturers.

Minimum Order Quantities

All manufacturers of custom bags have Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), and these MOQs can be very high. Some have MOQs as high as 20,000 or more. They require these large order quantities to lower the price per bag. So your price per bag can be very reasonable, but the total purchase price is too much for most bait makers.

Shipping & Setup Costs

In addition to MOQs, shipping and setup costs can be high. Many manufacturers charge a one-time setup fee. This fee is insignificant if you use tens of thousands of bags per year, but it is very significant if you use only several hundred bags per year.

Additionally, almost all of the manufacturers of laminated worm bags are in China, and the cost to ship the bags to the U.S. is very high. The cheapest shipping option is by boat, but that can still cost several thousand dollars and take months to deliver. Air service is available at an even higher price.

Custom Artwork

Unless you have experience using professional-grade graphics applications like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, you will have to pay someone to create the artwork for your packaging. Even if you already know exactly what your bags will look like, your design must be put into the proper digital format for the manufacturers. This adds cost and complexity to your project.

Chinese Manufacturing

Finding a manufacturer can be daunting. There are not any US-based manufacturers, and you almost exclusively have to work with Chinese manufacturers. Most Americans don't know how to contact and communicate with Chinese manufacturers. Additionally, the language barrier can lead to miscommunication and ordering problems.
